With 30 years of experience in Program Management, Estimating, Contract Management, and the Commercial Industrial/Manufacturing industries, I have been involved in multi million-dollar project developments, including design-build management, client coordination, and contract administration. I have a proven track record in base building of all types, machinery and equipment installation, site development, and interior construction. I oversee projects and schedules, coordinate design, and administer construction processes. Additionally, I coordinate Mechanical, Electrical, and Structural design with the Engineering Team and Clients. We specialize in helping clients understand construct-ability, feasibility, and sustainability, as understanding these factors is key to a successful project.


Experience:

Industrial Experience - As a Construction Consultant for GM Powertrain and Sustainable Work Facilities, I oversaw a large Engine and Transmission project with a construction management team of up to 12 staff members and a design team of 8 members. My responsibilities included field safety and supervision, estimating projects and field orders, processing RFIs, submittals, and field orders, generating macro and micro schedules, overseeing design, progress, layout, and scheduling meetings, and tracking project costs. Additional industrial clients included Chrysler Sterling Stamping, Auto Alliance Inc., and Avon Gear. Large-scale projects I managed included the L6 CSS Diesel Flint, Chrysler Sterling Stamp Press Addition, Ford Romeo LVL Addition, and HVL Aluminum Block.

Project Management Experience - I sought out, developed, and maintained strong relationships with Owners, Architects, Engineers, Tenants, and City Representatives. I developed and implemented policies and procedures for tracking safety, cost, quality, and schedule. I worked directly with Owners and Architects to achieve budgets through inventive and cost-effective value engineering. I effectively supported LEED projects to ensure accreditation was achieved. My responsibilities also included serving as the Safety Director with Synergy Group, Inc.

Estimating Experience - I generated multi million-dollar competitive estimates for land development, retail, municipal, institutional, entertainment, and multi-use projects. Clients included Macy’s, the City of Sterling Heights, the University of Toledo, Menards, General Motors, the City of Toledo, and Sinclair County. Budget estimating involved generating detailed scopes of work, conceptual plans and details, schedules, and alternate pricing.

Design Build Experience - My responsibilities included coordinating design information between the Tenant/Owner and Architect/Engineer, as well as conducting usability studies of land and land development. I generated specifications, project manuals, budgets, schedules, contracts, permit/construction documents, close out documents, and coordinated warranty issues with the Tenant/Owner. I facilitated permits and approvals from municipalities and oversaw the construction of the facilities. Large-scale projects included the MJR Theater Complex at 15 Mile and Van Dyke, the JH Hart Urban Forestry Complex, the Metro Wire Complex in Sterling Heights, and The Detroit Retirement Facility.

RON BARGY

Ron Bargy, President of JNS Consultants, Inc., has a proven track record of successfully executing industrial, institutional, commercial, and retail construction projects across the United States for over 30 years. Starting from humble beginnings in Indiana, Ron was hired at the age of 17 to design and construct the Freuchte House, a private residence. He began his career in carpentry and quickly advanced through roles such as Foreman, Superintendent, and Project Manager. Over time, he mastered all aspects of estimating, project management, and contract management in both public and private construction, building a wealth of experience and expertise.
